The move follows the allegations of price-fixing and the subsequent resignation of head of communications Iain Burns.
Burns and commercial director Martin George stepped down this month (PRWeek, 12 October), having taken ‘leave of absence' in June.
Burns's team had reported to George.
Despite George being replaced by BA's former director of planning Robert Boyle, the PR team is now under the auspices of its lawyers. Interim head of corporate and media relations Thomas Coops described the move as a ‘transitional arrangement'.
