RSPB strikes deal with radio station

The RSPB has signed a one-year editorial partnership with environmental digital radio station Passion for the Planet.

The deal will see the station running one feature a week on the bird charity's activities or campaigns in
a bid to ‘explore a neweredge of media', said RSPB media manager Dr Andre Farrar.

‘This partnership allows us to reach an interested audience once a week and raise the profile of our work,' he added.

Editorial will cover the RSPB's work to tackle the impact of the shellfish industry on The Wash, and its
ongoing campaign to save the albatross. The RSPB will also highlight annual high-profile events such as Feed the Birds Day at the end of this month.

Farrar said the charity was planning to broadcast a piece on its participation in the Stop Climate Chaos rally in London on 5 November (PRWeek, 22 September).
