'Claire impressed us from the start by joining us as a volunteer in 2003, after giving up a well-paid corporate post. She was keen to develop her press and PR skills and work for a charity, and saw Bowel Cancer UK as an ideal way of doing both.
'Her dedication, enthusiasm and empathy for the subject endeared her to everybody she came into contact with, and I soon employed her as a press and PR officer. She did a great deal to help put bowel cancer on the map and get the media and the public talking about it.
'It was one of the saddest but proudest days of my life when, two years later, Claire left us to go and work with agency Munro & Forster.'
Claire Jagot is now an account manager at Munro & Forster.
