Jenny Davey, currently City reporter at The Times, is to join The Sunday Times as deputy City editor on 10 November. She replaces Richard Fletcher.
Malcolm Speed is to join the Scottish Sun in the newly created position of editorial consultant on 24 October. His previous position, as managing editor of The Daily Record and the Sunday Mail, has been filled by Derek Stewart Brown.
Felicity Murray, former editor of Packaging News, has joined Drinks International as editor. Simon Warburton, who has been acting editor, has taken on the permanent role of assistant editor. Murray is replaced at Packaging News by Gordon Carson, who joins from Care in the Community where he was news editor.
Joseph Galliano has been promoted from deputy editor to editor of Millivres Prowler's Gay Times. He replaces Vicky Powell, now a comms officer at gay lobbying group Stonewall. Galliano's old position has been phased out.
The Sun Online has appointed Mike Anstead in the new role of sports journalist. Anstead was previously a sports journalist at The Guardian.
Giraffe Media is to launch Beautiful Weddings magazine on 5 January 2007. Editorial director is Rachel Southwood, beauty editor is Elizabeth Richards and style editor is Tamryn Karby.
Fraser MacDonald has been appointed as editor of Haymarket's Stuff, replacing Michael Brook. Editor-in-chief remains Tom Dunmore. At Haymarket's Media Week, Steve Barrett, current editor of the company's Young People Now, is to become editor in November. He replaces Philip Smith, now head of content at brandrepublic.com (PRWeek, 14 Sep).
IPC Media has launched an Irish edition of weekly NME. Sharing some content with its British counterpart, NME Ireland will also feature pages dedicated to Ireland's music scene. NME's Ireland correspondent Steve Cummins will write the new pages.
Dennis Publishing is to launch TOTAL Poker, a 16-page guide to poker, which will appear in monthly Maxim from 26 October. TOTAL Poker editor is Rick Dacey.
Five News chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay has returned to Sky News as chief correspondent. Ramsay previously worked for Sky News for 13 years, latterly as the channel's Africa correspondent.
Beverleigh Thompson has been made assistant producer for BBC1's Points of View programme. She was previously music/celebrity booker for the BBC's The ONE Show, which is currently ‘off air'.
