GSK lures Brough from Ketchum

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has wooed Claire Brough from Ketchum to fill the role of PR manager for its musculoskeletal/inflammation and gastrointestinal interests.

Brough was a group account director at Ketchum, where she worked for three years. She previously spent a similar stretch at Burson-Marsteller and has worked at Harvard PR and Munro & Forster Communications.

At GSK she fills a role last occupied by Tina Phelan, who was promoted to director of scientific comms strategy last year (PRWeek, 13 Oct 2005).

Separately at GSK, Janet Morgan - a former journalist - has joined the company's corporate affairs team ‘on a contract basis'.

She reports to Emma Bellis, who is covering head of external affairs Kate Hewer's maternity leave.
