Letter - Stress Down Day can only be a good thing

I was delighted to read that the Samaritans are to launch Stress Down Day next February (Letters, 6 Oct). I'm sure Stress Down Day will be a success and provide participants with an array of coping techniques to help them combat pressure.

Anything's better than traditional methods of letting off steam, such as kicking a door off its hinges, or getting totally pissed then calling in the next day stricken by a 24-hour virus.

Let's hope the industry gets behind Stress Down Dayand puts as much faith in stress release as it does in the ubiquitouspress release.
