Big Pharma's handling of animal rights activists, the Thames Water drought and the Buncefield oil explosion will be among the case studies examined at next month's PRWeek crisis management conference.

The event will include speakers from BNFL, Boots, 3, IBM and GlaxoSmithKline, while Transport for London media relations director Paul Mylrea will recount its response to the 7/7 bombings. The Today programme's commissioning editor will also speak.

Places for ‘Taking the Drama out of a Crisis' at The Dorchester, London, on 28 November can be booked at crisismanagementconference.com.

A ‘crisis simulation workshop' on 29 November will be run by Martin Langford and Edelman international crisis management director Mike Seymour.
