The partnership aims to give MMD - which has 18 offices across central and eastern Europe - greater access to the US health market. CCA, meanwhile, wants to make inroads across the former Eastern Bloc.
The deal, unveiled last week, was struck by MMD chairman Alistair McLeish and US-based CCA co-founders Bob Chandler and Gianfranco Chicco. Discussions kicked off around nine months ago. CCA said no clients of either agency were yet benefiting from the arrangement.
News of the MMD link-up comes as CCA awaits the first day in the job of new European MD Fiona Hall, who quit Weber Shandwick three months ago (PRWeek, 14 July).
She expects to start at CCA in January.
