Evaluation body AMEC rebrands

Trade body AMEC has become The Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication.

It wants to expand its membership among PR and marketing firms that offer bespoke media evaluation. Such companies can become ‘associate members'.

AMEC, chaired by Nick Grant, has also opened its membership to individuals working or studying in the field.

Its relaunched website features an ‘AMEC College', which allows individual members, such as students, to work towards a qualification in evaluation and comms.

AMEC currently has 17 full members.

ALSO... The trade body this week announced the shortlist for its annual Communication Effectiveness Awards, of which PRWeek is the media partner. Thirty entrants have been shortlisted for nine categories. Echo Research dominates with nine entries.

Romeike and TNS Media Intelligence are among the others shortlisted.
