Regester Larkin enlists Bensilum

Regester Larkin has recruited Eddie Bensilum - a former senior European and UK communicator at McDonald's - as a board director.

Bensilum left the fast-food firm, where she worked for more than 20 years, in March. She played a major role in the management of some of the most high-profile reputational threats to the company, including BSE and tackling flak over obesity.

During her time with McDonald's she used Regester Larkin - the London-based issues management specialist - to advise on comms over avian flu, and for crisis management training.

Regester Larkin MD Andrew Griffin said: ‘Eddie has unparalleled experience of helping multinational organisations prepare for, respond to, and manage, reputational threats.'

The past few months have seen a restructure of McDonald's European comms team.

Louise Marcotte, previously director of external comms Europe, is now McDonald's Europe head of comms. Karen Van Bergen is the company's Europe V-P of corporate relations.
