A division of Swedish telecoms firm Ericsson, the business was formed nine months ago after securing the outsourcing contract for video mobile company 3 to manage its UK network and IT infrastructure.
The deal saw around 1,000 staff from 3's network and IT functions transfer to Ericsson last December.
Ericsson Services has faced local opposition in Norfolk and Cornwall, where it is erecting mobile-phone masts.
The company now wants to strengthen ties to Westminster and Whitehall. Head of corporate affairs Andrew Cumpsty said he had shortlisted agencies and was ‘coming to a decision' on which to appoint.
Cumpsty, previously head of external affairs at 3 UK, is a former head of external affairs at McDonald's.
