Macsween, the world's best-known haggis brand, has brought in Edinburgh-based Great Circle as its first PR agency.
Macsween sells five tonnes of haggis - minced offal, lamb, beef and oatmeal in a sheep's stomach - daily in the three-week run-up to Burns' Night on 25 January.
It has retained Great Circle to ‘push haggis as a high-quality, hand-made product to consumers all around the world,' said agency senior consultant Clark Dunn.
Great Circle will also handle trade and corporate PR for the firm ahead of several product launches in the coming months.
Macsween's founder, John Macsween, who died in July, is credited with inventing the vegetarian haggis, now responsible for around a quarter of the firm's turnover.
