AZ unveils Davis in US corp. role

DELAWARE: AstraZeneca has hired Lisa Davis as vice-president of corporate communications in the US.

She is responsible for the Anglo-Swedish drug manufacturer's internal and ­external corporate comms across the country.

Davis has formerly held roles including that of head of PR and comms for AARP, a non-profit US organisation for people aged 50 and over.

She also worked as national deputy press secretary for the Clinton/Gore 1996 re-election campaign, and held positions with the Democratic Leadership Council and Progressive Policy Institute.

AZ said her role was ­newly created and oversees a team of more than 30, ­reporting to V-P of corporate affairs David Nicoli.
