Radio promoter names PR chief

New commercial radio body RadioCentre has appointed its first head of PR.

Darren Kalynuk will take charge of promoting radio's effectiveness as an advertising medium when he joins on 4 September.

The body takes over the work previously handled by the Commercial Radio Companies Association, the Radio Advertising Bureau and Radio Advertising Clearance Centre.

Kalynuk is a former senior comms adviser to the BBC, and recently held roles at the British Phonographic Industry and Premier PR.
