Chelgate readies net planning tool

Corporate and PA consultancy Chelgate is turning to technology in an effort to boost its community relations service to clients.

It is launching what it claims to be a groundbreaking piece of software allowing the public and all stakeholders to input their views on proposed planning projects. The service will be available later this month from

The move follows the appointment of Murray Stewart, head of Weber Shandwick's transport group, as senior counsellor. He joined Chelgate's London team two months ago with a brief to develop expertise in transport.

WS said it had no plans to replace Stewart, who quit after a year at the agency.
