Hit or Miss ... Firms urged to save water

The maligned concept of hot desking made way for 'wet-desking' this week.

The government-funded business advice service Envirowise created an underwater office to urge firms to be economical with water. The Envirowise Water at Work Week campaign for water conservation got plenty of media coverage. 'Office workers use 663 million litres of water every day,' The Times said; '86 per cent of this is from flushing lavatories,' added The Daily Telegraph. Many others also covered the stunt - HIT.
