Housing body in hunt for agency

The Housing Corporation is searching for public affairs support and has kicked off talks with a number of consultancies.

Funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government, the body was created in 1964 to build affordable housing and help house the homeless.

It also works with housing associations to drive urban regeneration and tackle the problems of rural areas.

It is unclear what the PA brief involves. A Housing Corporation spokeswoman denied it was conducting a search for PA support.

However, it is understood that the body began preliminary discussions with agencies this week and is looking to draw up a shortlist of firms to pitch for the brief.
