Road safety body in comms hike

The Local Authority Road Safety Officers' Association (Larsoa) is to ramp up its PR.

The body - which represents council road safety officers and advises government - has taken on local government specialist DTW to get it recognised as a road safety commentator via a local, trade and consumer press campaign.

‘This group of people is at the grass roots of road safety and has the technical knowledge of safety issues, such as road improvement and speed limits,' said account manager Alison Ferst.

She said the body would seek to comment on road safety in media stories on the subject.

Larsoa provides education, training and publicity programmes in an effort to reduce the number and severity of accidents.
