Linx hands global account to Webit

London Internet Exchange (Linx), one of the world's largest such exchanges, has turn­ed to WebitPR for its first PR campaign.

Linx is the non-profit-making aorganisation that carries around 96 per cent of the UK's web traffic every day.

The company's members include internet service and content providers such as BT, all of whom have an equal vote in the way Linx is managed.

Lincoln-based Webit has been briefed to run an international online campaign, targeting tech news and business sites to help Linx grow its profile overseas.

Webit executive chairman Adam Parker leads the account, reporting to Linx sales and marketing manager Vanessa Evans.
