Trilogy wins Funai consumer brief

Trilogy Communications is to handle a UK campaign for Japanese electronics firm Funai.

Funai has a heritage as a manufacturer of electrical components, but is aiming to move into the consumer-  electronics market under its own brand.

The company specialises in LCD technology used in hi-definition TVs, and hopes to capitalise on the UK boom in this sector.

Hannah Shepherd, managing director at Trilogy, is heading the account, reporting to Funai UK sales manager Ann Tai.

"We will target the trade media, then the specialist consumer titles, before aiming at the more general consumer

media in the run-up to Christmas," said Shepherd. "We are planning on pushing a lot of the activity online, through websites and viral campaigns."

The agency's consumer team also advises clients such as Oregon Scientific and software developer THQ.
