Hit or Miss... Wedding double-booked with 'Muslim fun day'

When Alton Towers double-booked a wedding weekend with the first National Muslim Fun Day, it did not take long for the nationals to go ballistic. 'No music, booze or gambling' for guests, claimed The Sun. 'Single-sex rides and Halal food' meant 'the couple's dreams fell apart' chimed the Daily Mail. Alton Towers PR manager Liz Greenwood says coverage was 'confused' and the wedding party would be unaffected by any religious restrictions. But the damage was done.
