Chameleon opens four-strong Manchester office

London-based B2B and consumer tech outfit Chameleon PR has opened an office in Manchester. The four launch staff include Daniel Twigg, a former member of VoIP firm Skype's global PR team. He joins the office that is being run by director Rob Skinner.

The team is currently working for clients such as ALG Software, a provider of budgeting and forecasting programmes, North Wales-based start-up DeepStream and public services technology provider Civica.

Twigg was part of Skype's global PR team for nearly four years. He left the eBay-owned firm, where he handled global media relations, three months ago and has joined Chameleon to strengthen its tech offering. The other two staff are Jocelyn Hunter, who joined in 2004 from public services software provider Sx3, and Martine Levene, who worked for Roland Dransfield PR in Manchester.

Chameleon hopes the office will service clients across the North. Skinner said: ‘We won't confine ourselves to Manchester, but will look after the whole of the North-West, the Midlands and the North-East.'

Unlike most Manchester agencies, which are in the city centre, Chameleon's office is in the outskirts, near Manchester Airport.

‘We are looking to expand the team and will be looking to recruit a fifth team member towards the end of the year,' Skinner added.

Chameleon MD Helen Holland founded the agency in 1998. The company has 17 staff in London.
