Lambeth youth and drugs

Lambeth Council is warning youngsters of the short-term effects of taking drugs, via a poster campaign.

The south London authority wants to raise awareness of its youth substance misuse service.

‘Staff from the drug action team told us youngsters are most concerned with the short-term effects of taking drugs, such as their effect on relationships or on exams, so we are focusing our messages around these concerns,' said a spokeswoman.

The posters have gone up in schools, GPs' surgeries and housing offices, and on free-standing street units.
