Handling the drive is Van Communications. ‘This campaign seeks to re-engage youngsters with education by motivating them,' said co-founder Matt de Leon.
The campaign will target children, parents and teachers via a series of events and Holmes's tour of secondary schools.
‘Teachers can nominate pupils to take placements to learn a wide range of sporting and physical activity, such as martial arts and street dance,' said de Leon.
Van is targeting social affairs correspondents with research, to be released next week, based on the relevance of sport to children during the summer holidays.
