David Lloyd has tied Murray to a three-year partnership and brought in H&K after a two-way pitch to aid the launch of a junior tennis programme. H&K will promote Murray’s association with David Lloyd and raise kids programme's profile.
The programme will encourage children to stay fit and healthy through tennis and will launch at David Lloyd clubs in September.
H&K’s brief is to help to double the number the number of junior tennis players already participating in David Lloyd programmes, which currently stands at 10,000.
H&K sports marketing MD Andy Sutherden heads the account, reporting to David Lloyd interim marketing director Sally Nichols.
Murray, 19, reached the second week of Wimbledon for the first time this year - the only Brit to do so.
H&K’s newly promoted MD of crisis and issues management Tim Luckett has previously given Andy Murray media training (PRWeek, 30 June).
