Airport Express PRO in Ab Fab reference

While Frank PR has been busy deploying a David Beckham lookalike (see left column), PROs at Airport Express have enlisted their own doppelganger.

Airport Express's choice of a Joanna Lumley double to publicise what it describes as an 'absolutely fabulous press trip offer' - it is offering journos free trips on Gatwick and Heathrow Express trains - apparently has nothing to do with the Ab Fab PR stereotype, and is instead meant to promote (ahem) having an 'absolutely fabulous' journey.

PR man Andrew McConnell says the trains can help PROs organising press trips to ensure their journos arrive on time for their flights. All he is 'gently' asking hacks for in return is 'a mention, say, in a fact-box'.

Ms Lumley's double was paid £450 for just two hours' work - not enough, we're sure, to ruffle the feathers of a certain stunt penguin, but maybe enough for Frank's Beckham to have a quiet word with his agent.
