Cognition Digital will aim to build online messaging and SMS into campaigns.
The arm is led by Clare Horbury, formerly head of McCann Interactive in Birmingham.
Cognition PR head Simon Maris said the agency wanted to integrate digital services into ongoing campaigns for its largely SME and B2B client base. He added: ‘Some clients may purely want the digital bit.’
Existing clients include Bluespier International, which provides clinical information systems for hospitals, and business intelligence software company QlikTech.
