Cohn & Wolfe installs Clark in global NY job

LONDON/NEW YORK: Cohn & Wolfe UK healthcare joint MD Jeremy Clark is to relocate to the US to become managing director of the agency's New York healthcare arm.

Clark will relocate with his family at the start of September and is expected to take up his new role in the middle of that month. He will fill the shoes of agency stalwart Jennifer Gottlieb, who joined US-based healthcare specialist agency WeissComm Partners two months ago.

He will also take the new role of global healthcare practice leader with a brief to grow C&W's global healthcare offering, reporting to global CEO and president Donna Imperato.

Promotion to both roles caps a remarkable ascent for Clark, who only joined C&W in 2003 as a director. He was previously an associate director at Weber Shandwick (PRWeek, 14 November 2003) and prior to that worked at Munro & Forster Communications.

He is currently joint MD of C&W's UK health practice alongside Jacinta Collins, who will take up the lead role in C&W's London healthcare team in September. Collins said: ‘I'm looking forward to working closely with Jeremy and the New York team in the future.'

Gottlieb joined WeissComm in April as MD and head of its East Coast operations in New York. Terri Clevenger, who was previously in that role, has launched advocacy and ‘disease education firm' Continuum Health, with which WeissComm has a ‘strategic alliance'.

Other senior figures in the C&W London health team include directors Fiona McMillan and Jo Spadaccino, plus associate director Jo Varney and account director Camilla Dormer.
