'Ginny Phaff' is all set for V2006 fest

The music festival season is now well under way and, by and large, it's the usual array of PR practitioners promoting them.

But who the devil is Henry's House's 'Ginny Phaff'? She was listed as the 'plugger' for Virgin Mobile's V2006 this August in a colourful piece in Monday's Independent.

It is the agency's deputy MD Ginny Paton who, we're confidently informed, can't be accused of faffing - or indeed phaffing.

Phaff, sorry, Paton, laughs off the blunder, telling Diary she's used to having her name mispronounced and has been called worse things: 'I was described as Gunny Paxton on the visitors' board at a new-business meeting.

'I'm just glad that Virgin Mobile was name-checked correctly.'

Generous, yes, but maybe The Indy shouldn't take complimentary VIP tickets to the fest for granted this year.
