Councils lined up for GCA ceremony

Darlington Borough Council, Clackmannanshire Council and Hambleton Council are all in the running to be named Local Authority of the Year at the Good Communications Awards (GCA).

The award recognises the authority with ‘outstanding comms skills working within a £250,000 budget’.

Solihull Borough, Wakefield District and Westminster City Councils have been shortlisted for the award for a team operating on a budget of more than £250,000.

HBL Media was planning to film the 22 June event, due to be broadcast on the Local Government Channel.

The awards are taking place for the second time, and are organised by publisher PSE.

See next week’s issue of PRWeek (30 June) for details of the winners and the ceremony.
