DoH bids to curb male suicide rate

The Department of Health is promoting the results of a study into how to reduce suicide among young men.

The DoH is seeking to raise awareness of suicide in young men, the most common cause of death in this group, by targeting men’s consumer print and broadcast media, and trade press.

The two-year study took place in Camden, Bedfordshire and Manchester, and is part of the national suicide prevention strategy.
