Hospital chain PiC beefs up comms

Private mental-health hospital chain Partnerships in Care (PiC) has created two comms posts and filled them with staff from Pope Woodhead PR and Johnson & Johnson.

CEO Peter Farrier said: ‘It was clear that we needed to invest in our own communications staff.’

Lorna Hamblin joins as comms manager from Pope Woodhead; Jack Launer joins as relationship manager from a sales role at  J&J.

Pope Woodhead MD Andrew Hobbs said he was recruiting after Hamblin’s exit, and the departures of Scott Fleming to Sanofi-Aventis (PRWeek, 9 March), Emma Ward to Organon, and James Harper, who has left the PR sector.
