Hit or Miss... Monday lottery heyday proves shortlived

With the press dishing out adjectives such as 'ailing' (Financial Times), the first weeks of the Monday charity lottery - launched on 8 May - have brought redundancies and restructuring. Chariot comms director Stuart Handley says: 'There is certainly an appetite for an alternative (to the National Lottery). We're getting back on track now.' But despite 'rescue measures' this week, Monday can hardly have had quite the start that Chariot and agency Bell Pottinger predicted.
