The move will see the former Freud Communications consumer board director relocate from London to the US on 5 July.
In his new role he will report to Euro RSCG Worldwide chairman and CEO David Jones. His remit will involve ‘developing and delivering a global comms strategy’ for Euro RSCG Worldwide. The group has 233 offices in 75 countries and is the largest unit of Havas.
The group has been hunting for a chief comms officer for around six months, since Owen Dougherty left to join global ad group Grey Worldwide in the same role.
Sanchez joined Biss Lancaster in 2004, before which he spent four years at Freuds. Prior to that, he spent ten years in TV.
Biss Lancaster chairman Graham Lancaster said he was on the verge of hiring a replacement for Sanchez.
Separately, Biss Lancaster has promoted Melissa Hinds to business development director, reporting to Manchester and Edinburgh MD Brian Beech.
As the number two to Beech, and with responsibility for Biss Lancaster’s Manchester and Edinburgh offices, Hinds has a remit to recruit and train staff and promote the Biss Lancaster brand, while working with selected clients.
Hinds has spent six years at Biss Lancaster, latterly as an account director, and ran its Little Chef ‘Slim Chef’ campaign.
