Toyne-Sewell set to depart CDR

Citigate Dewe Rogerson stalwart Patrick Toyne-Sewell is leaving after 12 years to join security specialist ArmorGroup International.

Toyne-Sewell will arrive at ArmorGroup – a CDR client – as comms director next Monday.

ArmorGroup is one of the world’s largest mine-clearing companies, and offers security services to international organisations.

‘Security is a rapidly growing industry and will expand further as oil and gas reserves require further protection,’ said Toyne-Sewell. ‘ArmorGroup is moving into wider business areas and doesn’t want people to be misled as to the nature of the industry.’

Toyne-Sewell has a military background, and served in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers Battalion before joining Citigate.

Citigate MD Patrick Donovan said: ‘His clients have been divided between existing staff.’

Meanwhile, the agency has hired former Financial Dynamics partner Tom Baldock. He joins as director from a partner position at College Hill.
