Resonate secures sat-nav business

Resonate has won a three-way pitch for the UK launch of German firm Jentro’s satellite-navigation product activepilot, aimed at women.

The agency will link the technology with the Government’s ‘10,000 steps-a-day’ recommendation to encourage fitness. ‘It can be used like Streetmap,’ said Resonate account director Jane Fearnley. ‘Women can see how easy it is to walk instead of taking the Tube or bus.’

Activepilot will compete with TomTom in the mobile satellite navigation market. Its manufacturer claims the kit uses less mobile memory than the best-selling brand.
