I agree that retained search assignments are traditionally at senior level and, from a business point of view, this makes sense. However, with clients crying out for staff, we want to do the best by them.
Taking a proactive approach to seeking out talent can't be a bad thing if done discriminately. Looking for a job can be a full-time affair and PR practitioners are often too busy to initiate their search. And, as we all know, the best people aren't always looking.
