Ogilvy fills senior Brussels position

BRUSSELS: Ogilvy PR Worldwide has taken on Natalie Sarkic-Todd to lead its Brussels PR and public affairs practice.

She joins as MD of the seven-strong office from pan-European PA agency EPPA. She previously held government relations and media relations positions for British Gas across EMEA.

Sarkic-Todd is expected to co-ordinate PA campaigns for clients across Europe. ‘Many of our clients are operating across continents and rely on Ogilvy to offer both local and international expertise,’ she said.

She reports to Ogilvy PR EMEA chief executive Martin Liptrot and Belgium chief executive Jan Van Aken.

Liptrot, who spent six years as a lobbyist for tobacco company Philip Morris (now Altria), is understood to be eager to bolster the agency’s public affairs offering in London by next year – either via a senior appointment or consultancy acquisition. Ogilvy PR last September acquired Washington lobbying consultancy The Federalist Group.

The Brussels office’s previous chief, Christophe Worms, left several months ago and is understood to have set up his own consultancy.

Sarkic-Todd’s 20 years in government affairs include stints at the CBI.
