Charity press outfit Media Trust has teamed up with consortium the Information Communications Technology (ICT) Hub to offer free new-media training courses to voluntary sector staff.
Starting in London on 15 June, nine ‘New media made cheap and easy’ seminars will be held in UK cities, including Manchester and Newcastle, until the end of July.
Run by new-media consultant Paul Caplan and pitched at introductory level, the seminars will cover blogs, wikis and podcasting.
Media Trust research carried out on behalf of the Home Office in 2004 found new media and electronic communications to be major areas of concern for the charities it questioned.
