Constellation to promote US wine

Constellation Brands is to launch a major UK marcoms push for its Robert Mondavi Californian wine brand, using a ‘supper club’ theme promoted by Phipps PR.

Constellation acquired Robert Mondavi in 2004 and is to spend £600,000 on a UK campaign this year.

The ‘Robert Mondavi Supper Club’ centres on a free-to-join online lifestyle portal, and features articles on food, wine, travel and the arts, with contributions from travel writer Simon Calder and chefs including Jean Christophe Novelli.

Phipps will target 30- to 45-year-olds. Its fees are believed to be around £150,000.
