Haygarth lands UK brief for Sennheiser headsets

Audio technology company Sennheiser Communications has handed Haygarth a brief to promote its headsets in the UK.

The 60-year-old headphone firm has brought in the agency to run both trade and consumer campaigns.
‘We will target firms that operate call centres through trade and online media, and will use promotions, case studies and product placement,’ said Haygarth director Jessica Scott-Forbes.

Advances in gaming and VoIP services have increased demand for premium audio products, but the firm is facing stiff competition in PC gaming headsets from rivals such as GN Netcom and Plantronics.

Scott-Forbes said consumer activity would target gamers and people who spend a lot of time using online phone services.

Germany-based Sennheiser recently launched the UI 740 EU, a device that helps employers ensure they do not breach the strict guidelines imposed by the EU Noise at Work Directive, which came into effect on 6 April.
