Hinduja Technology Media Telecom (HTMT) has appointed Clea Public Relations for it's PR in India.

The corporation, which has established global call centre operations, offers contact centre services, back office processing and customised IT solutions.

Vinod G. Nair, managing director of Clea, said the mandate is to position HTMT as a premier company in the IT space.  Tasks include media relations, media training, syndication, and share of voice enhancement, he added.

The account is headed by Clea PR general manager Jayaram Ramatnathan, supported by R. Ratnanand, branch head in Bangalore.  Nair will handle strategy and overall supervision.

The win for Clea comes at a time of restructuring and expansion for HTMT.  According to Nair 'as part of its plans to consolidate and to unlock shareholder value, its various divisions are being hived off into separate companies as part of a larger de-merger plan.'  Clea will play its part by ensuring transparency in the demerger process and creating effective communications with shareholders and the investing public.
