Fletcher takes on childminders job

The National Childminding Association (NCMA) has recruited Andrew Fletcher as director of policy and PA. He takes over from Liz Bayram, who was promoted to be the charity’s CEO in December.

His arrival comes amid the implementation of the Government’s £250m ‘transformation fund’ to help recruit and train childminders for under-fives, a response to parents returning earlier to work after childbirth. The Childcare Bill is now passing through the House of Lords.

Fletcher was press and parliamentary manager at Pre-school Learning Alliance.
