Ash promotes Novartis eyecare product in UK

Novartis Ophthalmics, the eyecare arm of the Swiss drugs firm, is planning a UK media relations campaign for its Vitalux Plus brand.

The company is to use London-based agency Ash Communications Healthcare to promote the vitamin and mineral supplement, which launched last year. The target is Britons who are concerned about the health of their eyes.

Vitalux Plus is a once-a-day eye supplement that Ash will promote to ‘people who want to look after their vision as they age’.

The agency will flag up the fact that the product contains 10mg of pure lutein,  which is derived from marigold petals.

The agency won the work without a competitive pitch and reports to Novartis Ophthalmics UK head of marketing Selwyn Ho.

Ash has worked on similar remits in the past: Larkhall Laboratories’ Micro Folic Acid is a current client.
