'Chameleon Dave' creator writes in

We couldn't resist telling you about this recent letter submission to PRWeek from Duncan Hart of production firm Silverfish Promotions.

Hart wrote in extolling New Labour's 'Dave the Chameleon' drive, which 'generated more publicity than any campaign story during the local elections'.

The letter particularly praised the 'extremely low cost' of the blitz.

We considered publishing it, but thought it best to clarify that Hart's view was unbiased.

His response? 'We produced it!' As the letter headed towards the rubbish bin, he said: 'On a serious note, we'd be interested in talking to you if you'd like to do a piece on our company.'
