Samsung Mobile in football roadshow

Samsung Mobile is using Mischief – the agency founded by ex-Shine Communications director Mitchell Kaye (PRWeek, 21 April) – to handle PR and event management as it hunts for ‘England’s best penalty taker’ via a roadshow.

It wants to cement its links with football via the 'Samsung Mobile Spot-Kick Challenge', visiting eight shopping centres nationwide. Ex-pros such as Matthew Le Tissier and Chris Waddle are taking part, with technology tracking where the ball is placed and how hard it has been struck. Results will appear on a website. The tour ends in Liverpool on 3 June. Samsung Mobile is an official sponsor of Chelsea FC.
