Storm bags food traceability brief

A company whose software enables food companies to track the quality of their produce has called in Storm Communications to boost its profile.

Hereford-based Muddy Boots has clients including Marks & Spencer and Compass, and is keen to sign up more big-name firms.

Storm will raise awareness of its software among growers, suppliers, retailers and standards accreditation bodies. MD Amanda Williams said the software provided traceability and auditing information that could be used in CSR reports.

'Muddy's software helps all sections of the supply chain to trace, track and audit food produce,' she added. 'Mobile data capture means big retail chains can check things such as the sustainability of the water supply used on crops.'
