Disney draws up kids' mobile brief

Disney is to bring in consumer agency support as it prepares to launch a kids’ mobile phone service.

The service is due to roll out in the US next month and in the UK later in the year.

Disney has already been working with Porter Novelli on an issues management brief to pre-empt attacks from those who may be concerned about the marketing of phones to children.

PN will take part in a three-way pitch for the work.

'Many parents are buying phones for children now,' said Walt Disney Internet Group corporate comms director Sandra van Vreedendaal. 'We want to show Disney is a trusted brand.'
