Carnival bids for younger clientele

Rooster PR has signed a deal to promote Carnival’s European brand Costa Cruises as it bids to lure more affluent young professionals.

The agency will promote the spa facilities offered by Costa as the company seeks to break away from cruising's image as the preferred holiday choice for the retired.

The 112,000-tonne Costa Concordia, to launch in July, will have a 1,900 sq m spa.

Rooster MD Henry Hemming said the agency would promote the launch of the ship and 'dramatically heighten Costa's general PR presence'.

The agency replaces Helen Lewis PR, which repitched against Rooster and Burson-Marsteller.
