Ketchum advises Kremlin on G8 role

LONDON/MOSCOW: Ketchum’s London office is providing the Russian government with media advice for its presidency of the G8.

Ketchum heads a multi-agency Omnicom team comprising GPlus (the Euro PA consultancy acquired in March); Gavin Anderson in Japan; and Maslov, Sokur & Associates in Moscow.

This year's G8 summit will be held in St Petersberg in July. It will be the first such meeting on Russian soil.

Ketchum's role will be to communicate the summit's  core areas of interest: energy security, infectious disease and education.

It will aid the Kremlin with logistical and comms support around the summit, producing briefing material and a website. It reports to Russian first deputy press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
